I love to read and pass along information to others, so they might benefit from it as well. When you teach or share information with others, it makes you understand it better and last longer in your mind. I was recently reading “Selling Power” Jan/Feb. magazine and came across the 10 best sales books for 2010 to read. Please make it a goal to read one of them a quarter for 2010. We need to get the U.S. economy back on track and it starts with sales. Here is the list below:

1. Coaching Salespeople into Sales Champions
2. ProActive Sales Management
3. Optimal Salesperson
4. The Market has Changed; Have You?
5. The Funnel Principle
6. B2B Street Fighting
7. Listen to the Dinosaur
8. Playing Bigger Than You Are
9. Becoming the Vendor of Choice
10. Selling to Zebras

If you want to learn more about any of these books just go to for a book review.

I have done a lot of research on various Social Media tools out there and these are my top seven for people in sales to know:
1. NameChk
2. Twitter
4. WordPress
5. Facebook
6. LinkedIn
7. YouTube

I could describe what each one does and why it’s important for people in sales but I have a better idea. Google each one and play around with the sites and start building or protecting your brand today.

Are you still sticking to your New Year’s resolution? We are twenty-two days into 2010 and most experts think you can form a new habit in twenty-one days. I think that might be the case but if you can do it for 90 days, you own it. I hope this quote below might be of some help with your new Dream:

“A dream is an inspiring picture of the future that energizes your mind, will & emotions, empowering you to do everything you can to achieve it”

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Steve Jobs Speech to Graduating Class at Stanford – 2005

The Essence of Destiny:
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words,
Choose your words, for they become actions,
Understand your actions, for they become habits,
Study your habits, for they will become your character,
Develop your character, for it becomes your destiny”

I can’t remember who wrote this but I read it all the time and it has great meaning to me. I think it is because everyone has a choice each day on how there going to live and whether to think or not.

” Every single condition in your life can be improved if you learn to be more effective at visualizing what you want & having the intention to manifest it”
